Who Does the Perfect Pitch Benefit?

    The proceeds from Perfect Pitch specifically benefit Special Scout Troop 364.  This troop consists of 10 mentally and physically handicapped "Adult" Boy Scouts.  The money  donated to the Troop is used to go on special trips throughout the year.  In 2004, a  special account was opened  to be put aside funds for the trip. Our goal is to raise $40,000 in total to take all of the members of Troop 364 with their chaperones to Disney World in Florida.  We booked the Disney trip for August, 2007.

    We also donate specifically to "Challenger Sports" programs.  Challenger programs integrate able bodied kids with disabled kids to facilitate a game in a specific sport.  The Home Run Derby has donated to Challenger Baseball in Rockaway.  All members went to a Yankee game and received special Challenger/Yankee Jackets.

 Rockaway Challenger Bowling program purchased bowling balls for all members.  This year the Challenger Basketball program received a portable scoreboard, personalized basketballs for all the members and an "End of Season" party.

 This year, 2006,  we  donated to the Rockaway Challenger Soccer program.  We hosted this year's "End of Season" party, participated in a Challenger Soccer Game, purchased customized pinnies and donated personalized soccer balls to all of the athletes who participated in the program.

We also purchased a Titanium Wheel chair for an 11 year old girl named Rebecca who was denied a wheelchair from her insurance company.  With the help of her new wheel chair, Rebecca has participated in Wheel Chair Ballet  and Challenger Basketball. This special chair has given Rebecca independence and mobility.

 We have also donated to the ARC - Milltown, NJ, as well as, the New Brunswick Football Program for inner city youth, paying their insurance so that they could play football. 

For the past 2 years we reinstated and sponsored the East Orange Summer Baseball program for disadvantaged youth.  Perfect Pitch pays the registration fees and purchases uniforms and equipment for all 40 members.   We are committed to keeping the Summer baseball program running as long as we can.

Perfect Pitch also sponsors Big Mike.  Big Mike is a member of Special Scout Troop 364.  Perfect Pitch helped Big Mike get a new computer so that he could build an awesome website to help raise money for MS.  Perfect Pitch along with Cycle Craft in Parsippany purchased a new Cannondale touring bike for Big Mike so that he can raise money for MS by riding his bicycle in MS Bike Tours.  Big Mike has raised over $10,000 in the past few years.  Perfect Pitch is also working with Big Mike on his newest project, raising and nurturing trees for the Township of Denville. 

This year (2006) Perfect Pitch is proud to sponsor a man named Dave. After an unfortunate  accident Dave was disabled.  Recently, Dave was also diagnosed with MS. Dave was a bodybuilder prior to his accident and is determined to continue competitive bodybuilding.  Perfect  Pitch purchased a competition wheel chair for Dave and is sponsoring his quest for Gold at the 2006 USA Wheelchair Bodybuilding Championship, scheduled for October 7, 2006.  CONGRATULATIONS DAVE FOR WINNING 2 GOLD MEDALS AND 1 SILVER!!!
