Boy Scout Troop 364/593 has been in existence for 30 years.  It is designed for young men with special needs.  Their disabilities vary. Some from down syndrome,  neurologically impaired problems  and physical disabilities.  They range  from 20 years old  to 50 years old.

Leo Daudelin is the scout Master and has been scouting for more than 27 years.  Richard Gagnon is the Assistant Scout Master and has been with the Troop for 12 years.

Our goal is to give our scouts fun learning experiences in camping activities, field trips, community service, and weekly meetings.  On camping trips the boys work towards merit badges for hiking, cooking (indoors & out), first aide, etc.  These Scouts have interaction with their peers to help develop teamwork and daily living skills.  They are taught to respect one another and help each other when needed.  Working together helps them to overcome unusual obstacles in the outdoor environment.

The Troop is sponsored by the Belleville Elks.  The meetings are held at the Elks Hall every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm.

This Troop is  important to the special individuals who participate in it. It gives each one of these young men an opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling social life filled with challenging adventures.
